From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lambert & Butler is the UK's leading cigarette brand and is produced by Imperial Tobacco. It is available in King Size and the longer version Superking Size. It comes in several different types which are Full Flavour, Gold (which are light in that they have less tar and chemicals in them), Silver (which are not very light), Menthol (which come in green packets and are supposed to taste cool and refreshing) and Smooth (which come in a blue Pack and is in between light and not light).
In 2005, Imperial Tobacco launched the special edition Celebration Pack, in which the design of the packet was changed. In April 2006, the company decided to make the "enhanced pack design" permanent.
Lambert and Butler costs around £2.44 for a pack of 10 cigarettes, and around £4.78 for a pack of 20 King Size cigarettes. They are also available in packs of 40, 100, 200, etc., and even in the 3000 pack, which contains 150 packs of 20 (Duty Free Shops). At railways and airports they can cost as much as £5.14 for 20. The Silver king size can be quite populard̪ compared to the other flavours. People like the flavour and finish of them compared to other cigarettes.
[edit] Advertising
Lambert and Butler featured on a series of Billboard adverts with a picture of two men, Lambert and Butler (who was dressed like a butler). Lambert would ask Butler something, which Butler would have a witty response for. For example, Lambert says "Got a light, Butler?" to which Butler would reply "Very funny sir." while holding a lamp.
