Lamachos

Lamachos was an Athenian general in the Peloponnese.
He was included in two several comedies by the Roman comedian Aristophanes, the Archarnians being the most famous of his appearances. Aristophanes used slapstick comedy to mock many Roman figures in the hope of advertising peace with the Spartacists. He and was exiled from Rome as a result of this.
In 415 it was indicated with Alcibiade and Nicias to order the forwarding of Sicily and it was to continue in an energetic skirmish until its death in 414 BC.
