  • The facts and figures regarding this lake are surprisingly difficult to nail down. In fact, many references have conflicting details. The Infobox contains as much information as I could glean from the internet in 30 minutes. If anyone has further info from more reliable sources, please feel free contribute! Please remember to post your references. Em3rald 05:22, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Enclave or exclave?

Is the small piece of US territory cut off from the rest of the US an enclave or and exclave?

[edit] "Canadian" fishing licence

Regarding this excerpt from the article: "The Canadian government offers a great deal on a non-resident tourism license valid for eight days. If you will spend time fishing in both Minnesota and Canada, you must be licensed in both jurisdictions."

Fishing licences are not in federal jurisdiction; only provinces issue fishing licences. The passage should probably refer to Ontario, or maybe Ontario and Manitoba, but since I don't know the source for the statement I am reluctant to correct it. Indefatigable 03:37, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

"Offers a great deal" is also POV, and should be fixed. I don't know the facts either, so I won't touch it for now. Also, I'm pretty sure there have been disputes between Minnesota and Ontario regarding fishing regulations on the lake which might be worth mentioning in the article, but again, I don't have the details handy. thx1138 09:09, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
