[edit] Music Program

As with all of the other schools in the Irvine Unified School District, Lakeside Middle School's band and orchestra program benefit from the fact that all IUSD students must take music in grades 4-6. The music classes are taught by Nathan Robinson, among which some of the classes are symphonic and concert orchestra, symphonic and concert band, and chorus. At the annual IUSD Music Festival on March 22, 2007, the Symphonic Orchestra received an unanimous "superior" and the Symphonic Band received two "superiors" and one "excellent".
