Lakeside High School (Evans, Georgia)

Lakeside High School is a high school located in Evans, Georgia. Construction on the school was completed in 1988, and the first classes at the school started session in the fall of that same year. The first students to attend and graduate from Lakeside were mainly transfers from nearby Evans High School. Lakeside's football stadium, Panther Stadium, was later added to the campus adjacent to Lakeside Middle School in 1996.
Lakeside High is located in Columbia County, one of the fastest growing counties in Georgia. It reached 2,500 enrolled students only five years after its construction.
The first princepal was Julius MacAnally, for whom the mascot 'Mac the Panther' was named.
A notable graduate, Josh Kelley has gone on to become a multi-platinum record seller and is currently engaged to Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl.
