Lakeside High School is a public school in unincorporated DeKalb County, Georgia. The school has an Atlanta address. The school is a part of the DeKalb County School System. In the Newsweek Magazine (May 16, 2005) listing of the best 1200 public high schools in the nation, Lakeside came in at 107, the highest in Georgia. In the May 23, 2006 edition of the list, which is based on the number of AP and IB tests taken as compared to the number of graduating seniors, Lakeside ranked 135, just below Riverwood High School of Atlanta which ranked 132.
