Lake Vygozero

Lake Vygozero (Russian: Выгозеро, Finnish: Uikujärvi) is a large freshwater lake in the Republic of Karelia, northwestern part of Russia. It is located at around 63.4166667° N 35.2° E and has an area of 1250 km². From 1933 it is a part of the White Sea-Baltic Canal. There are more than 500 islands on the lake. Vygozero is used for fishery. Segezha River empties into the lake.
