Lake Tumba is a shallow lake in northwestern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is located at around 0°50′S, 18°0′E and has an area of 500.00 km² and is from 2 to 6 m deep. It is the part of the Congo River basin. Lake Tumba hosts 114 species of fish.[1] Lake Tumba was explored in 1883 by Henry Morton Stanley.
