Lake Lothing

Lake Lothing is a saltwater lake that seprates South Lowestoft from North Lowestoft within the county of Suffolk in the United Kingdom. This stretch of water is connected to the North Sea through Lowestoft Harbour and connects to Oulton Broad (part of the Suffolk/Norfolk Broads National Park) via Mutford Lock. Three bridges cross Lake Lothing, these being Lowestoft Bascule Bridge (A12), Oulton Broad Swing Bridge (Rail - East Suffolk Line) and Mutford Lock Road Bridge (A1117). The Lake is approximately 2 miles long and 150 yards wide at its widest point.
