Lake Hughes is a census-designated place located in Los Angeles County, California. It is inside Angeles National Forest. Lake Hughes is a small lake. It is northwest of Palmdale. It has nearby lake, Elizabeth Lake not far from Hughes, California, the two were connected until 1924. Lake Hughes is the western part of the larger Elizabeth Lake.
