Lake Bluff East Elementary School

Lake Bluff East Elementary School (Also known simply as "East School"), is a public school on the east side of Lake Bluff, Illinois. The school was built in the early 1900s, and was at one point the only school in Lake Bluff. It was previously known as Lake Bluff School, and covered all grades. Eventually, the two other public schools in Lake Bluff were built, and East School now only covers Kindergarten, First grade, and Second grade. The school is located right next to Lake Bluff Middle School, and across the street from a park, and the Lake Bluff Public Safety Building. As of 2007, a referendum is underway, and if passed, the Kindergarten through Second grade will be moved to a new school building. It has not yet been decided what will become of the East School building if this does indeed happen.
