Laira Halt railway station

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Laira Halt was a small railway station situated in the Laira district of Plymouth, Devon in England. It was situated close to the Laira engine shed.

The station was opened by the Great Western Railway on 1 June 1904 along with several other small stations as part of a scheme to introduce a suburban train service, including Lipson Vale Halt a short distance to the west. Laira Halt was not particularly successful and was closed from 7 July 1930.
