Laing O'Rourke

Laing O’Rourke plc is the largest privately owned construction firm in the UK. It has offices in the UK, Germany, India, Australia and United Arab Emirates, with over 23,000 employees worldwide.
On August 30, 2006, as part of joint venture CLM, Laing O'Rourke were named Delivery Partner for the London 2012 Olympics. The other two members of the venture are British provider of Project Management services Mace Limited and US-based provider of construction services CH2M Hill. Reconstruction of Ascot Racecourse, was completed by the construction firm in time for the 2006 race season. The chairman and Chief Executive is Ray O’Rourke. Laing O'Rourke was formed when John Laing PLC sold its interest in Laing Construction PLC to R.O'Rourke & Son Ltd for just £1 in 2001.[1]
