Lagophthalmos

Lagophthalmos is defined as the inability to close the eyelids completely.[1]
Blinking causes the eye to be being by a thin film of fluid (the tears). This is crucial to maintain lubrification and proper eye health. The tears also flush out foreign bodies and wash them away.
