Lagoon Secondray School is a private all girls secondary school located in the Lekki area of Lagos. It is just over 10 years old and boasts about four hundred students and over sixty members of staff.

The current motto of the school is "Sapienta et Virtus" meaning Wisdom and Virtue.

Lagoon Secondary School was founded in October 1995. It was wstablished as an all girls Secondary School in Surulere by NAWA (an NGO). The school admitted students into JSS 1 and Noemi B. Garcia was the founding principal.

"Wisdom and Virtue" our motto is clear We will strive to uphold it in every school year. O let us recall it when each term arrives so it will serve us the rest of our lives.

Our parents are with us our teachers are too, we ask God to guide us in all that we do and help us be prudent and honest and wise to find perfect goodness where happiness lies.

The school is divided into the Junior School (JSS 1 - 3) and the Senior School (ss 1 - 3). At the Junior Level, Students are made to take anywhere between twelve and sixteen subjects including but not limited to Mathematics, English Language, Integrated Science, Social Studies, Introductory Technology, Agricultural Science, Physical and Health Education, Fine Arts, Music, Business Studies, Home Economics, Igbo, Yoruba, French, Latin, Computer and Christian Religious Knowledge.

At the Senior level, students take anywhere between eighth and ten subjects including but not limited to Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Further Mathematics, Geography, Home Management, French, Foods and Nutrition, Agricultural Science, Literature in English, Economics, Christian Religious Knowledge, Fine Arts, Technical Drawing, Financial Accounting, Igbo, Yoruba

The school has students divided into four distinct houses. The houses are Jade (Green), Amber (Yellow), Ruby (Red) and Opal (Blue). The four houses compete against one another in a yearly inter house sports competition including such sports as basketball, swimming, races, javelin, discus, shotput, long jump and high jump.

Students are made to wear a green and red uniform. The Junior students wear skirts and blouses while their seniors wear skirts, shirts and ties.

Alumni of the school are in prestigious Colleges and Universities at home and abroad. Many have graduated with honours. We look forward to hearing great things of the alumni of this wonderful school.
