Laghey

Laghey (sometimes spelled Laghy) is a small village in County Donegal, Ireland. The country is located between Ballintra and Donegal Town. The village has a Quarry, a supermarket, garden centre, filling station and car wash, two public houses, a church with a graveyard, an Orange Order Hall, Curve Fitness for women, a post office, a phonebox, a shop beside the shop that is constantly changing, a new recycling centre, a salt depo, old council place thing, Advertising boards, and a national school. A takeaway chip van also is around the area at times. A number of Polish people work in the area.
The most well known landmark in this village is The Seven Arches Bridge at the bottom of the main street, and the sign post within the village that says Laghey is 1km away. The self famous archer, Derrick Scott, is also from the area. Yew trees can also be found in Laghey.
