Lady Luck (comics)

Lady Luck is a comic book character created by Will Eisner in 1940. She was, together with The Spirit and Mr. Mystic, one of the three star characters of "The Spirit Section", a weekly comic-book Sunday-supplement in American newspapers began publication on June 2, 1940.[1] The strip was originally written by Dick French and drawn by Chuck Mazoujian, succeeded by Nicholas Viscardi as artist and writer in 1941, followed by Klaus Nordling who wrote and drew the strip from 1942-46, and finally Fred Schwab, briefly in 1946. Lady Luck ran in "The Spirit Section" until 1946, and appeared in comic books published by Quality Comics until 1950.[2]
Lady Luck was the alter-ego of Brenda Banks, a young Irish-American socialite heiress, daughter of a mine-owner. Her costume consists a green dress, a large green hat, and a green veil in place of a mask.
