Ladies' night

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A ladies' night (sometimes ladies night) is a promotional event, often at a bar or nightclub, where female patrons get a reduced price for admission or goods. The rationale for these events is that the presence of additional female patrons will increase the number of male visitors to the establishment, thereby increasing overall profit.

Ladies' nights in the United States have been successfully challenged in lawsuits [1] by males who were discriminated against by these events. [2]

In the early 1990s, Bud Light ran a series of ads in which several men dressed unconvincingly as women in order to get free beer. [3]
