[edit] Definition
Talk What is Lace? The article doesn't say.
Added a definition, but it reads a little bit like "Lace is fabric with holes in it." Boojum 04:12, 28 May 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Lacemakers
I am trying to find out if stoolball was also played by lacemakers. In olden times lacemakers used a candle stool to work lace when sunlight was not strong enough or if work continued after sunset. This was a four leged stool with 4-5 holes in the middle of the stool to hold flaskes which were filed with water and placed inverted in these holes. In the middle was a large candle which reflected the light onto the flaskes thus giving more light to the workers.Could lacemakers on festive days play games -such as stoolball - useing there stool. the flaskes could easly be removed, unscrewing a leg which acted as a bat and using a pincochine as a ball.
In Malta we have a children's game called "Bzallu" which had rules simlar to rounders but was much simplerthen rounders.Mon. Feb.20, 200680.71.101.211 19:37, 20 February 2006 (UTC)Iris.

Lace-making → Lace – Lace redirects to lace-making. If there is only going to be one article, I think it should be lace. The current content would be fine at the new name. -- Kjkolb 05:37, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
