What's the problem with this page? User:Kungfuadam has been giving me a hard time about this. This page is neither advertising nor an infringement on copyright. I have received permission from the LA Freewaves director t create this page. Is documenting film festivals and other notable artistic events against wikipedia policy? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Freewaves (talkcontribs) .

Could everyone stop pretending to be licensed encyclopedians and help me out with this page. User:Kungfuadam insists that this is advertisement and copyright infringement, despite the fact that I have explained that the Director of Freewaves asked me to create this page AND I did not know the necessary procedures to inform the wiki admins of this. This is the first page I have created, and did not know any better. Furthermore, to say this page is advertisement is to say that the Sundance Film Festival is advertisement. Or that any artistic event is advertisement. LA Freewaves has been around since 1989 and since then has hosted 9 film festivals, incorporating artists from all over the world. This is fact, not rhetoric. But User:Kungfuadam has nominated this page twice for deletion, the first time it was reverted by User:Bigtop. Can someone help me out? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Freewaves (talkcontribs) .
I've just checked a past edit of the page, and yes, it does look like an advertisement, although this is mostly restricted to the first two sections. However, before the article is rewritten (and I'll personally give User:Freewaves a starting point fr it in his talkpage), I suggest we investigate whether it is noteworthy of its own article. --JB Adder | Talk 16:12, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for your support

Hi Out Now Consulting Ian Johnson, outnow on wikipedia and MD of Out Now Consulting. Thanks for your supportive comments. I fear that our entry will be lost as today someone who obviously did not read it and the accompanying link references deleted almost all of it then said it should be speed deleted. It is a difficult position I find myself in. Students routinely ask us for help and having a wikipedia entry referencing our work helps them to complete marketing and social sciences assignments related to gay and lesbian people. Mainstream media organisations such as Time magazine, The Independent (UK) newspaper and many others routinely seek our comment on gay related issues. If one of the people pushing us to be deleted is actually as young as you suggest, they may perhaps not realise that gay marketing is a very new phenomenon and that our Australian parent - Significant Others - was responsible for the first serious gay community research in the world and that Out Now Consulting continues this today. I am going to restore some of what was removed now but feel very worried that it is a losing battle. Any support you feel our effort deserves in keeping our entry is urgently appreciated. With respect, Ian Johnson.
