La Marquise d'O (German title: Die Marquise von O) is a 1976 film directed by Éric Rohmer. It was inspired by a 1808 novel by Heinrich von Kleist.
It starred Edith Clever, Bruno Ganz, Peter Lühr, and Edda Seipel.

In 1799 the Marquise von O, a virtuous widow, finds herself pregnant and claims her innocence while she is possibly deserving to be exiled.
