La Cueva High School is a public high school located in northeast Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is part of the Albuquerque Public Schools District. Their mascot is a bear. There is a large stuffed bear in the entryway of the school. The bear was allegedly killed illegally by a hunter and confiscated.

During the 2004 to 2005 school year, the Bears baseball team briefly held the record for consecutive wins. The Bears football team was undefeated for two seasons, losing its first game in the 2004-2005 year.


The school has won 67 state championships in various sports since it was founded.
