[edit] Summary
This is an admittedly amazing aerial photo of Los Angeles, California, taken from a balloon, on June, 27, 1887. The town was only over 20,000 at this point, the round Plaza (currently the focal point of Olvera Street) is visible to the left-center. North is to the left. The then-unpredictable Los Angeles River crosses.
