Is this a male? I think I can see a slightly distended vocal sac there.

I uploaded a slightly sharpened version, as the head was out of focus. I'd really like to see this as a Featured Picture! - Samsara (talkcontribs) 16:11, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

I have no idea if this is a male. But he wasn't calling when I found him, just hunting. It could be however, as I have found that many of the male frogs from the Litoria genus become yellow tinged during mating season. This is the only specimen I have ever seen of this species, so I have nothing to really compare. Apparantly, they look almost identical to Peron's Tree Frog (Litoria peronii), but I did not notice that with this one. I had originally mis-identified him as the Bleating Tree Frog (Litoria dentata).
Before you go and put this up for FPC, wait until tomorrow, as I will be going frog watching tonight, and there is a good chance I will come across this species. I don't really think this photo can get FP because the focus problems. His feet look incredible, but otherwise the focus is not that great. --liquidGhoul 01:33, 4 March 2006 (UTC)
