L.A. State Of Mind is the second solo album from Melanie Brown, famously known as Spice Girl Mel B.
Brown surprised everyone with her return, it having been five years since her debut album, Hot.
The lead (and sole) single from the project was "Today", for which Melanie completed a two-week whistle-stop (but chilled out) promotional tour of the UK. Melanie, who currently resides in Los Angeles wasn't even in the country for the week of the single's release, and it entered (and peaked) at #41, but this wasn't the lowest selling single of a Spice Girls member, because Emma Bunton's new single "All I Need To Know", peaked #60, the lowest selling single for her and of a Spice Girls member.
Outdoing the considerable failure of "Today" by an unbelievable amount, L.A. State Of Mind missed the Top 200 (UK #453) and apparently shifted just 670 copies in its first week. Total sales are 5,000 copies.
