[edit] Krazy Klan
He started out in a group called the Krazy Klan. With the name J-ho and Anybody Killa using the name Jaymo. They put out two albums between 1995 and 1999 before going their separete ways. During this time, he also produced beats for House of Krazees and other Detroit groups.
[edit] Going Solo
Around 2000 or so, Lavel went solo. He appeared on Anybody Killa's solo album Rain of the Sun before doing his own album The 6' 6" Realist. He released The Awakening as Mr Realist. The album had great success, and it even reached more when re-released a year later as Lavel. He had an even greater accomplishment when he released Nutty. The album featured tracks with Esham, Mastamind, and production by Mike E. Clark. Up to this point, still none of his albums were released Nationwide. Besides his own albums, continued to produce tracks for other such as Blaze Ya Dead Homie for his album 1 Less G N The Hood album in 2001
[edit] Psychopathic Records
Lavel began to associate with Psychopathic more and more. In 2003, Blaze was on tour and needed a hypeman. Lavel joined the show under the name Shadow. His rapping debut with Psychopathic came on Blaze's Colton Grundy album. He continued to deliver tracks to album after album that were gaining him more respect in the industry. The critics gave Lavel some respect when he did work on Twiztid's Mans Myth Vol. 1 album. People began anticipating a new solo album from Lavel. The album kept getting pushed back. Lavel then experienced a tragic lost of his 5 year old daughter to Brain Cancer on September 12, 2004. Finally a major project of his was released in 2005. He rapped under the alias Mr. Heart on the Soopa Villainz CD Furious. But the group was short lived with Esham leaving and Lavel, never to have officially signed with the label, followed closely behind.
[edit] On His Own Again
In 2006 Lavel stopped working with Psychopathic and released a CD filled with disses about ICP. Even Anybody Killa and Esham are featured on a diss track. Lavel is set to release his national debut album “Lavel from Hell” (On Earth), which has enormous expectation.
