L. G. Nutt

Colonel Levi G. Nutt was the Chief of the Narcotics Division of the United States Department of the Treasury from 1929 to 1930, prior to the creation of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics.

Nutt was the central figure in a scandal involving corruption, falsifying arrest records, and for his son (Rolland Nutt) and son-in-law's (L. P. Mattingly) role in representing racketeer Arnold Rothstein in tax matters.
