L'Opéra des Ombres

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

L'Opéra des Ombres (French: "Opera of the Shades") is a mediæval neoclassical music group from Chile, started as a solo project by "Syahne" (Iván Aguayo) under the name of "Chanson des Morts" (French: "Song of the Dead") and later changed to "L'Opéra des Ombres".

Their work is ecclectic and has various musical influences such as neo-folk, dark ambient, martial music, baroque, and heavenly voices.

The arrival of '"Törture" (Karla Acuña), a female divine voice and violinist, has given a darkly romantic sound to the project.

The first album, Eidôlon, is instrumental and contains eight songs. The voice of Törture made its appearance in the last song of the album, called "Two Souls For Sorrow", a delicate piano serenade dedicated to a beautiful girl called "Lourdes G."

Esporo and Törture are working with other musicians in the next release of "L'Opéra des Ombres".

An EP called "Sigils", will be released in a few weeks. Maybe the last EP, as Syahne declared: "A few keys have been taken to my piano. And there are spots of blood in sharp notes, no-one does not notice of them because they are similar colors, but they are there. Naerleth has died, or he has been hurt only, I still don't know. But I can't carry his corpse for so much time. There's no reason at all. But if I found one only reason, I will stay. Maybe these are not the last songs. Maybes yes."
