Lüshi Chunqiu

Lüshi Chunqiu (Chinese: 呂氏春秋 "Mister Lü's Spring and Autumn Annals") is a Chinese classic. It is a collection of essays complied by the scholars under Chancellor Lü Buwei's patronage during the Qin Dynasty. Completed in 239 BC, this ambitious work was meant to encompass all the knowledge and wisdom of the Hundred Schools of Thought.

According to Shiji (in "Live of Lü Buwei"), after the work's completion, Lü exhibited it at the capital gate, and hung there a handsome amount of money, which was to award to anyone who was able to add or subtract one single word to or from the work.(布咸陽市門,懸千金其上,延諸侯游士賓客,有能增損一字者,予千金。)

Lüshi Chunqiu is the representative work of the so-called "Miscellaneous School" (雜家/杂家 Zajia), a school which sought to integrate the thoughts of others.
