Lúcio Lara

Lúcio Lara (Tchiweka) was an Angolan nationalist and independence leader as part of the MPLA. Lara was a founding member of the MPLA and led the first MPLA members into Luanda on 8 November 1974. He also swore in Agostinho Neto as the first president of the country.

He was born in Huambo and is one, perheps the only, MPLA living "founding-father". He was the Wedding´s Godfather of the first angolan president Antonio Agostinho Neto.
