Léon is active in the investment management industry since 1998. He joined Bouwfonds Asset Management in October 2006 as Director of Research. Prior to joining Bouwfonds, Léon worked with PGGM, the Dutch Pension Fund for healthcare and social welfare. Léon was responsible for the strategy of the day-to-day management of both listed and non-listed, international real estate investments of PGGM. Prior to joining PGGM, Léon worked with ING Real Estate Development. Léon has experience in constructing and managing portfolios (listed and private), providing due diligence (companies and managers) and managing external mandates (active and passive).

Today, Léon heads the Research & Strategy Team, which produces all our in-house qualitative and quantitative research. This includes applying the research to our Investment House Model - which provides the country and sector allocation for all our investment and corporate real estate strategies. Léon also sits on the Client Committee which ratifies all investment decisions.

Léon holds a Bachelor of Education degree in geography and tourism. He earned his doctoral degree in economic geography from Utrecht University, as well as, a postgraduate Master in Finance from TIAS Business School.

Mr Muller has several sidelines, both board and management. He is the author of a number of published articles. Mr. Muller is registered with the Dutch Securities Institute.
