The Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway (L&YR) Class 23 is a class of 0-6-0ST steam locomotive.

It was built as a 0-6-0 tender locomotive to the design of Barton Wright in 1877 and rebuilt as a 0-6-0ST by Aspinall in 1891-1900.

One, L&YR 752 (LMS 11456) is preserved, having been sold to the NCB and as of 2005 is undergoing an overhaul to bring her back to working order.
