She hosts a weekly segment which airs at 4 P.M. entitled "A Woman's View." However, Lane is best know in Philadelphia for two controversial reports about the pains surrounding her own divorce from her first husband and subsequent relationship with her second husband, Jay which aired nationally on the Dr. Phil show. Ironically, she is now getting a divorce from her second husband. She is a Latina (her mother is of Puerto Rican descent) anchor in the Philadelphia market.

He was the original host of the nationally syndicated show Access Hollywood. In 1997, he returned home to Philadelphia when he joined WCAU as their lead anchor. While at WCAU, the station passed ratings leader WPVI on the 11 P.M. newscast in 2001 for sometime. It marked the first time that WPVI had lost at 11PM in 30 years. In May 2003, he was abruptly removed from the key 6 P.M. and 11 P.M. newscast as he remained on the 4 P.M. newscast, as WCAU management learned that he was being wooed by rival KYW-TV. He left the station shortly after that. Since joining KYW-TV, the station has made a significant jump in the ratings and beat WCAU at both 6PM and 11PM for the first time in a decade. Mendte is married to Dawn Stensland, who serves as the 10 p.m. anchor (and will serve as the future 5 p.m. anchor) of Philadelphia news station WTXF. Ironically, Stensland herself was a KYW-TV personality before her stint at WTXF.

Since coming to KYW, Orr has also helped establish "CBS-3 Kidcasters", wherein she and various CBS-3 crew members travel to various shopping malls in the Delaware Valley and encourage children of all ages to do a mock weather forecast. After playing many of the entries on the station's 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts, the very best children are invited to do live broadcasts alongside Orr on KYW-TV.

She was once a contestant on one of MTV's first game shows, Remote Control, which she lost and subsequently had her chair dragged away as she was beaten with stuffed animals.
