Kyrill Protsenko

Kyril Protsenko (* 1967 in Kiev) is a Ukrainian Artist working with Pyrotechniques and Installations. He currently lives and works in the Ukraine as a representative of the Ukrainian New Wave -Artist-movement which developed in the 90´s after the times of Perestroika.

- 1986 - 1994 he attends the Ukrainian Academy of Art, Kyiv, Ukraine, Department of graphic arts

Techniques and Archetypes of kitsch and massculture are essential parts of his works. The Element of Fire, Flame and Burn, which is the main constituent of Pyrotecnique which he is using - does not reveal itself as a source of destruction but of creation. The Philosophical Key-Aspect lies within the sphere of Psychoanalysis and the "Rehabilitation of Childhood" - Poetisation of psychodelic dreaming.
