Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art

The Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art (Kyoto-shi bijutsukan, 京都市美術館) is an art museum in the city of Kyoto which opened in 1933. It was conceived in 1928 as a commemoration of the Showa emperor's coronation ceremony, and it was initially called the Showa Imperial Coronation Art Museum of Kyoto.
