Kym Malin (born July 31, 1962 in Dallas, Texas) is an American model and actress. She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its May 1982 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Pompeo Posar.

The opening photo (which is a favorite of Malin herself) shows her jumping on a diving board nude.

According to Malin, she once said the diving shot was taken in a very nice residential area of Dallas where she's from. This part of the shoot started after lunch time. She used to be on the diving team in school, so she was feeling very comfortable about her form and all. She would make her approach and then jump on the end of the board and jump really high in the air.

They were still working on this shot around 3:30 in the afternoon. Irate mothers started complaining about this because she was jumping so high on the diving board that all of the kids coming home from school could see a naked girl jumping really high in the air and you could easliy see her jumping way over the fence.

Once she were told to stop jumping in the air, she went ahead and did a beautiful back pike and went into the water. The make up artist and Pompeo Posar were a little upset because she was not wearing waterproof make up, otherwise they would have done shots of her in the pool. They also had to redo her hair for the remainder of the pictorial.

The former winner of "The Most Perfect Body in Texas" pageant, Kym parlayed her Playmate title into a productive career in the entertainment industry, both as an actress and as a stuntman. She eventually returned to Texas and attended community college, and today lives in upstate New York, where she manages a pediatrician's office.

Kym is a recovering alcoholic who has been sober since 2003.
