Auli Kyllikki Saari was a 17-year-old girl, whose murder in 1953 is one of the most infamous Finnish homicide cases of all time. Her murder in Isojoki remains unsolved.

Saari was last seen alive in May 17. She was on her way to home, when the unidentified killer suddenly attacked.

Although her murder received notable media attention, the corpse was just found in October 11. The murderer is widely speculated to have had a sexual motive, but no semen was ever found from her body. Saari was buried in October 25, when there were approximately 25 000 mourners in the church.

The murderer has not been identified to date, although there have been numerous suspects. He is believed to be deceased now.[1]
