Kyle Helton

Kyle Helton (born May 20, 1986 in Birmingham, Alabama) is an American soccer player, who currently plays defense for Duke University.
Helton attended the Bradenton Academy, the United States's dedicated facility for the training of its Under-17 national team and played in the 2003 U-17 World Championship. Freddy Adu was his teammate. Helton has been featured in Parade magazine, USA Today, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Southern Soccer Scene. He currently resides in suburban Atlanta, Georgia. He is not related to MLB player Todd Helton. On October 30, 2006 he was invited to the MLS combine which took place from January 4-8 of 2007. On January 12, 2007 Kyle Helton was drafted in the MLS Super Draft to the New England Revolution.
Helton is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha, the oldest intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African Americans.
