Kyōwa
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kyōwa (享和) was a Japanese era after Kansei and before Bunka and spanned from February 5 (?), 1801 to March, 1804. The reigning emperor was Kōkaku.
[edit] Change of era
Because of the belief that the 58th year of every cycle of the Chinese zodiac brings great changes, on February 5 (?), Kansei 13 (1801), the era was changed to Kyōwa
