Kyōtoku

Kyōtoku (享徳) was a Japanese era name after Hotoku and before Kosho and spanned from 1452 to 1455. The reigning emperor was Go-Hanazono.
In 1454, Ashikaga Shigeuji arranged for the murder of Kantō Kanrei Uesugi Noritada, beginning a series of conflicts for control of the Kantō which would come to be known as Kyōtoku no Ran.
