Kwantlen First Nation

The Kwantlen First Nation are a Stó:lō people living in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, Canada. They traditionally speak the Upriver dialect of Halkomelem, one of the Salishan family of languages of the Coast Salish peoples.

The nation is made up of 6 reserves, including four Langley/Kwantlen reserves, Whonnock IR #1 and McMillan Island IR #6, though the main community is located on McMillan Island. The nation's population is about 170 people.[1]
