Kvam, Nord-Trøndelag

Kvam is a former municipality in Nord-Trøndelag county, Norway. Originally (from 1837) it was a part of Stod formannskapsdistrikt, but Kvam was separated from Stod and became a municipality of its own on January 1, 1909. At that time Kvam had a population of 1,169.

On 1 January 1964 Kvam merged with Beitstad, Egge, Ogndal, Sparbu, Steinkjer and Stod to form the enlarged Steinkjer municipality. Before the merger Kvam had a population of 1,245.
