[edit] Recap
The episode opens with a scene showing how idyllic and peaceful Pacha's village is, only to be interrupted by Kuzco complaining about the boredom. He visits the Royal Record Keeper to see about regaining his royal funds and possessions, only to find that the only way he can do so prior to graduation is if he becomes ill. The next morning, he fakes a rash in order to trick the family.
Yzma decides to try and make Kuzco miss enough school to fail, by lacing his bath with a disease agent. Now he has access to his money, Kuzco has the house fitted with luxuries, which doesn't impress Malina when she comes to visit, seeing right through him. Yzma and Kronk hijack the ambulance that was heading to Kuzco and take the place of the doctor and nurse. The initially outraged Pacha and his family quickly succumb to the lures of the luxuries, until Malina outs Kuzco.
Yzma arrives and pretends that Kuzco is really ill, and in need of a bath. After he takes the bath, he admits to Malina and the family what he did, and reconciles with them. Whereupon he falls ill with the Spototiosis. The cure is to eat a large amount of the healthy peasant food he abhors.
