[edit] Untagged image

An image you uploaded, Image:FSU seal.jpg, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 11:16, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gatoraide vs. Gatorade

  • I'm not going to fight you but don't you think that 'Gatorade' looks like a sloppy typo to an outside observer (i.e. someone who may be interested in attending FSU)...Mike850
  • No...it's a registered trademark. It doesn't matter what we think of the spelling; it's a trademark, like Chevrolet.Sirberus 02:25, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
  • I'm used to seeing it spelled that way so I'm used to it. I understand your concern but I think we're better off leaving it spelled that way. Kushboy 05:13, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Woops! I assumed it was 'gatoraide' the whole time, but when I looked it up, it is 'gatorade' that I've been drinking my whole life. Please accept my apologies. Mike850

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:FSU seal.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:FSU seal.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. NMajdantalk 19:52, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Colleges that were once all female but now aren't

Thank you so much for your input related to FSU!! I don't know how exactly to address things like that, but I really want to learn. I have no question in my mind that the category is valid but details like that are a challenge to say the least. I went back and forth multiple times last night on the name and was never happy with it. So I have no problem with changing the name, and have been involved in some disscusion on the matter. However I'm still learning the ins and outs of Wikipedia. If you have any guidance on issues like that I'd really appreciate it. MUW Fan 14:36, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
