Kusari (鎖, Kusari^? lit. Chains) is an eroge visual novel by Leaf involving bondage and other forms of BDSM.

Kyosuke Koduki (香月恭介, Kyosuke Koduki^?): The main male protagonist and the character the player assumes control of.
Akeno Orihara (折原明乃, Akeno Orihara^?): The main female character. Has brown hair.
Megmumi Katagiri (片桐恵, Megmumi Katagiri^?): Wears glasses and has blue hair.
Karen Ayanobe (綾之部可憐, Karen Ayanobe^?): Has black hair.
Tamami Ayanobe (綾之部珠美, Tamami Ayanobe^?): Has gray hair.

Kusari was not as strongly received as Leaf's other 2005 titles, though this is likely due to Kusari catering to a narrower nitche of an audience. Although it was the fifth top selling computer game on getchu.com for the month of its release,^[1] Kusari was only the 44th top selling computer game for 2005 as a whole (by contrast, Leaf's To Heart 2 Xrated was #1).^[2]

Kusari was one of four games Leaf was forced to release its source code to the public for due to having used the Xvid video codec in the game. XVid is licensed under the GNU Public Library, which requires that programs using the codec to make their source code available to program users.^[3]
