Notability? I don;t know. Please discuss. DreamGuy 09:03, 14 January 2006 (UTC)

We completely understand your need to keep Wikipedia free of spam and vain, trivial entries, but Kurt Beyer's entry here really is valid. His contributions and achievements in the world of professional wrestling ARE noteworthy. True, he is not on the same level as The Rock or Hulk Hogan, but nevertheless he HAS made his mark in professional wrestling. Our biggest hurdle to meet Wikipedia's demands for proof are more mechanical at this point -- knowing HOW to use Wikipedia. (It IS a fairly difficult and complicated thing to master, Wikipedia, you have to admit.)

But we are wondering if your questions regarding Kurt Beyer's notability come from an overall dismissal of professional wrestling in general. If that is the case, then there are literally hundreds of entries here that should be deleted. And if it is a matter of overall "fame" (or lack of fame in the U.S.), then we could point to thousands of entries that fall into that same category.

A simple Google or AltaVista search of Kurt Beyer (include professional wrestling and Japan as search words) shows numerous entries -- most of which, of course, are from Japan and concern his achievements in that country.

We ARE still in the process of getting approval from Japanese sources to quote and reprint articles and photos for this listing, in accordance with Wikipedia guidelines, but getting such approval from Japan just takes time. If you have ever dealt with Japanese corporations, then I am sure you will understand our delay here.

Again, YOU may not know of Kurt Beyer's mark on the world of professional wrestling, but millions of others do (admittedly mostly in Japan). And as such he IS noteworthy.

If Wikipedia's purpose is to create a comprehensive international encyclopedia, then Kurt Beyer's entry is especially valid. And we ask you to please make his entry permanent and to please remove the "marked for deletion" tag. He IS noteworthy -- any simple check of his achievements in Japan will show that.

-- A slight change of topic here, but with regard to the approval for the use of his photo here, we DID receive approval from TheDestroyer.com. And we are positive we have clearance to use the photo. How do we mark the photo as approved?

-- And is there any tutorial or online class we can take on how to master Wikipedia. Again, our biggest obstacle here is knowing HOW to make these entries and how to meet Wikipedia's guidelines.

We're trying here ... I promise.

Dear Kusunose,

We see that you are a computer programmer in Japan and are hoping that you might be able to help verify Kurt Beyer's noteworthiness. His father, Hall of Fame Wrestler "The Destroyer" is obviously well-known in Japan (and we will work on his page as soon as we better understand HOW Wikipedia works because we want his page to be perfect), but Kurt Beyer, one of only a very few foreigners to survive All Japan Pro Wrestling's dojo, is noteworthy for a variety of reasons (all in Japan) -- his wrestling, his efforts with Naruhodo Za Warudo and The Yomiuri Shimbun's The Daily Yomiuri (as a writer). Sure, he is nowhere near as famous as his father, but he IS notable, his is noteworthy. Wikipedia, again, as we understand it, is supposed to be a very comprehensive collection of facts, and as such his entry here should be made permanent.

Can you possibly help us with this project?

Thank you!

Zatoichi101
