Kurzweil K2000

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Kurzweil K2000 is a programmable synthesizer, similar to (but more advanced than) the Fairlight CMI, Synclavier and the M1 Workstation.

The K2000 features a technology dubbed V.A.S.T., which stands for "Variable Architecture Synthesis Technology", a marketing term for the K2000's DSP hardware that can be reconfigured with new instrument samples.

V.A.S.T combines the power of sampling and digital filtering, sequencing and computer based sound and file-management.
