[edit] Latest version

Kurumin Games 6 was released 28 August 2006.

[edit] Caracteristics

Kurumin Games is a LiveCD Linux distribution based on the popular Brazilian distribution Kurumin. The difference is that it focuses mainly on games, hence the name. Like Kurumin, it contains all you need to boot from the CD, with automatic hardware detection and configuration. Included in Kurumin Games is an application to configure the video card drivers, including nVidia and ATI. Also included are tools to install new games (via apt-games). Some programs found in Kurumin have been removed in order to allow more games (Open Office, aMSN and others); however, these applications can be installed via a script in the control panel of Kurumin Games.

Although many applications have been removed, many of these have been replaced with lighter ones in order to retain functionality. Thus, Kurumin Games can be used for many common tasks aside from gaming. These tasks include surfing the Internet, watching videos, listening to music, etcetera.

[edit] Games

Kurumin Games includes various types of games, from arcade to 3D, to suit anyone's favorite genre. After version 1.3, developer Tony Walker decided to include only games under the GNU General Public License.

Each version includes different games. You can view the list here (in Portuguese).
