KUPL, (pronounced promotionally as Couple) is a commercial broadcast radio station based in Portland, Oregon specializing in country music. It is owned by CBS Radio in New York City, New York and broadcasts at 98.7 MHz FM.

[edit] Lee and Alana in the Morning

Lee and Alana in the Morning (formally "The Waking Crew") is KUPL’s weekday morning show and plays from 5:30 am until 10:00 am. The Waking Crew DJ staff includes Lee Rogers, Alana Lynn, Jim E. Chonga, and "Earthquake” Jake. Former members of the morning show included Susan Barr and Amy King. The weekday morning cast also does a Saturday morning "Hometown Countdown" show reprising highlights from the week's interviews, contests, and articles as well as counting the most requested songs in the Portland area over that week.

[edit] Rick "Bubba" Taylor Show

3pm-7pm 'Rick “Bubba” Taylor' takes to the airwaves during the afternoon commute. The Show includes a Hot 5 @ 5 show, which counts down the most requested songs of the previous twenty-four hours, the Fast 4x4 is where listeners guess either artist or song title of four song clips for a prize. Rick has been in the Portland radio market since 1974, when he landed his first on air job at the young age of 14, he's been on KUPL since 1985, where he currently holds Assistant Program Director, Music Director and Afternoon Air Talent responsiblities.

The new 7 - midnight show is called "KUPL on Shuffle," hosted by the newest addition to the KUPL staff, Carol Batchelor.

In addition to the "Hometown Countdown", the major highlight of the weekend broadcast is "Legends and Outlaws" (formally "The Sunday-morning Country Oldies Show") that plays from 6:00 am until 10:00 am. Its purpose is to showcase the type of pre-1990’s country music that airs on KUPL's HD Radio station and used to air regularly on the now defunct KUPL 970 AM. Also played on the weekends are syndicated programs like the American Country Countdown.
