[edit] School's IP
This is the school's blue HP computer's IP: 66.52.176.40 - Hope it's useful for tracking down vandals and the like. :) 66.52.176.40 01:28, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kent-Meridian High School
Per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kent-Meridian High School, I just thought you'd like to know that the consensus for High School articles now appears to be swinging back in favor of deletion. So this may indicate the beginning of another campaign to remove most High School articles. Your opinion on the AfD article would be appreciated. It might be helpful if a notability standard for High Schools could be agreed upon. Thank you. — RJH (talk) 16:43, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for informing me about the proposed deletion. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go and vote because I was in a WikiBreak, but if this sort of situation pops up again, I'll definitely help out ASAP.
Thank you. These school discussions are all getting entirely too heated and repetitive now. I'm not sure how to resolve the problem without reaching some type of consensus. — RJH (talk) RJH (talk) 18:03, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Article for deletion
Magnetic Accelerator Cannon is being proposed for deletion. I do not feel it should be deleted, but merged into the future Technology of Halo article, because it is unsourced and written in an in-universe tone. Please lend your support. --DevastatorIIC 00:18, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Current mac project collaboration

[edit] Welcome to VandalProof!
Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Kungming2! You have now been added to the list of authorized users, so if you haven't already, simply download and install VandalProof from our main page. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any other moderator, or you can post a message on the discussion page. - Glen 21:46, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- You are definitely approved, so I think the problem maybe the browser. Let me guess you aren't an IE user right? :) VP works on an IE platform so close VP, open Internet Explorer, log into wikipedia (be sure to check the remember box) and then load VP up. Should work, let me know if it doesn't. Enjoy! - Glen 21:57, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- Great! No problem :) - Glen 22:06, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- CTRL-B :) And hey if you think that version is good then you should see the upcoming 1.3 version or the soon after upcoming 2.0! In fact I have the beta for 1.3 now which although isn't released yet I can approve and let you try? Do you have IRC access? If so if you can come to #vandalproof on the freenode network (this link will open it) I can give you the install files. Otherwise let me know on my talk page. Thanks again! - Glen 22:46, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, you'll get a few of those! :) Well if you use FireFox you can get the free add-on Chatzilla here which will give you IRC access. I REALLY recommend it as then you can come into the official vandalism channel (which is where all the admins are as well) and add users to the vandalism blacklist so all their edits are tracked, request blocks, etc etc. Its awesome if you are doing a vandal patrol. Plus there's our channel too! :) Re 1.3 if you'd like to try it then download these 3 files [1] [2] [3] and put them in the same folder as your current VP files. Pop me thru a message and I'll approve you. Otherwise keep up the great work! - Glen 23:21, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sears Edits
The first edit is 100% correct. As a Sears employee I have had to work unusual hours, had been withheld pay, work with fellow employees who lost benefits, and have worked under many managers who have been fired. The second edit is opinion, but a very informed and truthful one. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 20.142.32.69 (talk • contribs).

[edit] Question
So what happens when you want a vandal like User talk:82.37.129.133 doesn't stop? Ie, what happens after the 4th warning, how do I report him, etc? --Palffy 21:40, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
- Gotcha. Would you recommend that I bookmark that page or does VP have a function so I can report him automatically? --Palffy 21:43, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Prowler
What? Prowler is vandalism? it is a reigonal term for a police car. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.151.178.146 (talk • contribs).
-A "Sinful" act commited by the Americans sounds like the Islamic Fascists are writing this article. Why dont YOU think of a better word. -In many areas of the U.S. and Ireland, prowler is a very common term almost always used in certain dialects. Just because they speak differently from you doesnt mean they dont have computers. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.151.178.146 (talk • contribs).
- There's always been a dispute about regional spellings and terms, including differences between American and British English. I should have been raised speaking the latter (since I come from a former British colony), but sorry if my American edits offend anyone. –- kungming·2 | (Talk·Contact) 23:17, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to Esperanza!
Welcome, Kungming2, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.
Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.
In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.
If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC Tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

[edit] Amanda Bynes edits
I apologize for my edits to Amanda Bynes.
The truth is, I reverted my own vandalism within a minute of putting it. Unfortunately, you were quicker and my reverts never registered.

[edit] Geeham
Hi: its been deleted by an admin, which I am not; but I will watch for it.--Anthony.bradbury 16:51, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- Keep watching; he may be back. These microcephalic imbeciles who lack the imagination or skill to write proper articles do not usually realise that once a speedy tag is affixed it can be picked up by an admin whether it's deleted or not. Onl a {{hang on}} tag prevents removal.--Anthony.bradbury 16:56, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Harry Harrison
Hi, what about my "unconstructive" edit did you revert (cf Harry Harrison)? It all seems to be there. I wouldn't have characterised my intentions as "Unconstructive" either. Not trying to be a problem, but slightly confused.

[edit] answer in reply to ipod alleged spam accusation
I am not affiliated with any commercial company and I did not provided any link to commercial application. I have just placed the name of a program with a description - without brand name or website.
I think users should share the knowledge about software that works the best for them and help to pick up the most essential application for a given purpose. I am deeply saddened by the fact that my humble contribution was unfairly rejected. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Slowacki (talk • contribs).
- The iPod page is already way too long, and you can't select a few applications only to put on the article, and unfairly reject others. I stand by my original revert. –- kungming·2 | (Talk·Contact) 05:25, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WP:AIV
Regarding this, please be careful not to report a vandal prematurely. As a reminder vandals must have test 1-4 warnings, and must have vandalised 4 times in the past 24 hours, before it can be posted there. Please keep this in mind and also don't forget to sign. Thanks. --Pilotguy (roger that) 20:17, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

that's right. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.182.112.49 (talk • contribs).
if that's okay, why did you revert, then? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.182.112.49 (talk • contribs).
Do you have a news article detailing his death? If so, just add it in, and include the link as a citation. I reverted it because it did not include verification, but if there is something to verify it, then that's okay. =) –- kungming·2 | (Talk·Contact) 20:58, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Why??!!
I think People should get to know About kevin Bradley, hes a great wrestler and I don't think it shouldn't have been deleted. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Awochamp11 (talk • contribs).
- One word - declared non-notable after consulting with an admin. (Okay, that wasn't one word.) Plus, you're using a double negative, (as Luna-San kindly pointed out), so that means you think it should be deleted. –- kungming·2 | (Talk·Contact) 17:21, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] hi
Why are you being such an asshole? I was trying to make the page better by adding an image. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jeffman52001 (talk • contribs).
- The picture file did not exist when I reverted it. I am very sorry about that mistake, and please, no personal attacks. –- kungming·2 | (Talk·Contact) 18:16, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
You shouldn't be an asshole, then you would not get a peronal attack. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jeffman52001 (talk • contribs).
- I am not going to argue with your logic. Wikipedia is a peaceful community.–- kungming·2 | (Talk·Contact) 18:21, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lonelygirl15
Well, as I said in my AfD vote, I have no problem with the page being recreated if someone can prove she meets notability requirements: I'm not sure what more can be added to the page than a pointer to those requirements so her fans can see what they need to do to prove that. If she does become a real 'star' then she should have a page, but I don't see any evidence that she's likely to do so. Mark Grant 02:36, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Geo.plrd 2
Hi. Rje closed this RfA but an anon AOL IP undid the close. I've reverted your vote; sorry.
I think there's a guy using multiple IPs. He was previously User:Yankees vs. Red Sox. - Richardcavell 02:45, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it, I was just putting in my two cents, and the overwelming consensus was oppose, even without my vote. The user has good intentions, but it's way too early for him, and the fact that his nominator's username is Lordhighdumbass doesn't help further his case either. Thanks for letting me know! –- kungming·2 | (Talk·Contact) 02:49, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- Just by the by, I think that User:Geo.plrd, User:Yankees vs. Red Sox, User:Lordhighdumbass and the anon AOL IPs might all be the same person. - Richardcavell 02:52, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

PS: YES YOU'RE RIGHT HARRY POTTER USES A BROOM! (BUT GOOD MOPS ARE HARD TO FIND!!)
Hello my dear friend. Well, a thank you template doesn't do you 1 fraction of justice, thank you for your support, thank you for jumping to my defence, thank you for being my sounding board as I rattle on about various issues, and, thank you for being you :) You're one special guy my man! 06:27, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thank You
you were quick to solve a problem with the vandal on subject Omar Amanat and helped to give hope and assurance to wikipedia readers like me who were clueless how to stop the needless edit wars and soapbox vandalism. Thank you for your support of my RfA, which has passed with a final tally of 76/1/1. With this overwhelming show of support and approval I am honored to serve Wikipedia in the task charged to me and as outlined in my nomination. Happy editing to you! Teke(talk) 17:06, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thank you for the quick reply
Thank you for the help. :) I think I see now what I did wrong. One more thing...how do people find my pleas for help so fast? It is quite impressive how people come so quickly. KarateLadyKarateLady 01:38, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Very interesting...
Thanks for the explanation. So do I put my reply to you (like this one) on my page or your page? I put the thank you on your page, then you showed up quick again with another answer on my page. Yes...very impressive, indeed.
Well, I hope the bot doesn't break from all of the questions I have. I must admit I don't fully understand the bot, but I have noticed that it showed up to fix some ISBN numbers on articles I started. I am grateful for the help I am getting from nice folks on here and the bot too. Hopefully one day I will be able to help somebody new and return the favor. [edit] Regarding TOTSE
I think it would be in the best interests of everyone to allow the totse page and totse talk page to be open to edit until the website gets back up.
Your thoughts on the matter? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.230.167.16 (talk • contribs).
[edit] Totse, again
Does wikipedia have a PM-like feature I can use to communicate with you instead of this open page?
Totse is just a forum for all sorts of stuff. It has little rules and can be addictive. Thus when the site goes down, bored and frustrated users goto the wiki page and start using it as a sort of replacement totse. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.230.167.16 (talk • contribs).
[edit] Luther Burbank article

[edit] 2 accounts
Hi there and thanks for the offer to help on my talk page. You asked if I had 2 accounts. I don't think I do, although sometimes I'm referred to by my e-mail address and sometimes by my first name. I don't really feel like changing my stuff and all my contributuons to a different account. My e-mail address is all over the web anyway, through my website. I think I'll just leave it, unless there are other compelling reasons apart from SPAM... What do you think?--Achim 04:11, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
